WitW - Session 16
Horace, the only escapee of the mission into the Grand Guard barracks finds Pascal running towards him. Pascal's connection to Jeatz pulls Horace towards him so he figured he can follow where the Grand Guard take Jeatz and Almyre. He stopped by Thistle's place, who told him they'd be taken to the winter court to stand trial. He directed Horace to Silverquill.
He knows they'd be taken to the winter court and Horace will need some cold protection. Silverquill, the local proprietor of magical goods was somehow convinced by Horace to trade Pascal for some boots of cold protection. Pascal of course managed to escape with some Wild Magic and returned to Horace to guide him to the Winter Court.
Jeatz and Almyre had a hard road to the Winter court. They stopped at Frostfell- they only place to safely leave the peninsula to get to the mountain of the winter court. There they found Tharun was part of the Barren Cloaks- the protectors of Exurbia, but whose members were made up of criminals. Jeatz was not obvious enough to Tharun that it was him since he has changed since they parted ways. The next morning they were hoisted in their cage down the huge shaft above the bay of Frostfell and left with Admiral Chadley at the helm who had mentioned a mysterious Summer Court boy while departing.
Horace too mad his way to Frostfell. There he was met by Vixen, a tabaxi who would take him along with Tharun to the Winter court.
We jump back in time for a bit to a trio of guards- Alahn, Drizz, and Muck. They decided to get a draft after their shift. Posting up at The Teardrop run by Steve the goblin. Muck shared his Salisbury steak and potatoes beer which Steve loved. The beer connoisseurs spent some more time shooting the shit, but were suddenly ambushed by a cult crying that the Ice Wyrm will soon wake. They delt with them quickly.
Soon after the chaos, Bronto walked into the bar. He knows the cult of the Ice Wyrm is growing and also there is a mystical figure known as the Wizard that's a threat to ALL the courts. Bronto believes the Wizard is making moves to have the Winter Court march against all the other courts. Bronto requested them to run a convert operation to drop a gem of seeing orb in the Wizard's home to protect Exurbia.
Bronto agreed to take both Drizz's and Muck's beers to the outside world to grow their beer fame in return for this task.
Later, they cautiously approach the Wizard's house on the other side of the river. The door is surprisingly unlocked. Inside the room they find a nearly naked Eladrin on the floor who does. Not react to their presence, and secondly a huge glowing arcane gash in the room.
Suddenly, the Wizard appears- he methodically eliminates the party. Power Word kill. Disintegrate. And lastly he used suggestion to force Alahn into the Arcane gash.
