WitW - Session 15
The party regroups at the Equinox hideout, and Almyre seems to remember Ka donning the mask Red-Eye wore. They worked out a plan to drop off the letter from Thistle's son and also save Cece from the Grand Guard.
They wished to stay the night in the hideout, but McSquiggles said the Grand guard would likely show up since they know the password. Turning to the God's Hand rock itself, Jeatz was unable to persuade the hard-headed stone to change the password. They decided to wait until dusk to head out.
They snuck into Thistle's shop- their quick thinking got them all in the shop by distracting the guard outside the back door. Jeatz puts the letter from his son, Junior, on Thistle's glass of whiskey. The smith looks around, knowing this letter is here because of the party. He puts Armor with a scroll on the table as well as the sword that was promised. The party takes the items and Thistle allows the party out by Thistle calling for help.
While still invisible, the party decides to go in the back door of the Grand Guard barracks-leading to the kitchen. There were few guards in the lower level of the Barracks, curiously. Horace made his way upstairs with Almyre and Jeatz going down into the dungeon.
Horace is nearly caught upstairs, but not before Jeatz was caught. The Grand Guard descended from the smoke out of gaseous form. Captain Thitoff Thunderbane snapped, shutting the door with the Arcane Lock spell.
Thunderbane threatened to kill Cece if they didn't reveal themselves. Jeatz dropped his invisibility, still disguised as a guard. Thunderbane, looking past this rouse - kills Cece anyway.
Thunderbane arrests Jeatz, restraining him in arcane shackles threatening to kill him to reveal if anyone else is in the room. Almyre used her momentary stasis to stop Thunderbane from casting the spell, but it was not enough to stop Thunderbane. Not even a vague threat of Nox being in danger.
Horace manages to sprint away, his friends captured.
Moving to the Winter Court, we meet a few guards- Muck, Drizall, & A'lan. The "Ghost" pulled into port of the Winter court carrying a mysterious Wizard and Lady Eirlys (pronounced Air-less) Frostheart - the center seat of the winter court.
They notice a lone rowboat pull into the harbor carrying a singular Rabbitfolk-Bronto who travelled from the Autumn court. They let Bronto by, but another ship pulls into port.
