Criminal Quandaries - S19
The party had just come up the elevator to the darkened warehouse. Bastle was downed and they were facing a volley of arrows. Yeet picked Bastle up to return him to the fight.
The assassin let loose again on Kaige. Despite her alertness, she still took a massive amount of poison damage from the attack. But returned massive damage in kind. The party methodically took down the archers one by one. Yeet and Bastle struggled to stay up through the fight, but the ever-faithful Healing Word from Gus kept the party from passing into death. Kaige finally got to use counterspell to stop herself from being enveloped in a darkness spell, surprising even herself.
Yeet and Gus spent most of their time hiding like the good spellcasters they are while Kaige and Bastle fought out in the open. Bastle's new powers manifested themselves as well.
Kaige finished the Assassin just as Yeet got the shit knocked out of him with poison damage. Gus picked up Yeet so he could finished the battle.
After the Dust settled, the party went searching for the treasure chests stashed here. They found some wild magic potions, stole some souls, and set up some fireworks. But they were short on time as Yeet looked out the window to find the hulking General Highcall walking towards the warehouse.
They just managed to slip below into the sewer as Highcall entered the Warehouse. Yeet set off a fireball from under the elevator. From there, they went through the sewers to get to the collective without being seen.
Norrix and an Auger were waiting for them to open their treasure haul. After they showered, they opened up the treasure finding many goodies! Healing potions and pots, magical tattoos, weapons, and gold. But, most importantly, a special relic allowing them to create a sort of copy of themselves.
Yeet told Norrix they saw Highcall at the warehouse, and Norrix gave them a warning not to fuck with Highcall. He is the true power of the city with the ability to kick either Major house out as soon as he has a reason to. The Collective has always sat beneath all that picking up the bountiful scraps the two houses' squabble creates.
Gola walks through the door saying he has an informant that can give him some more info on House Cannith's going on to help him find his parents.
