Criminal Quandaries - S33

The Fight tarted and Yeet promptly cast Haste on Kaige as he had it prepared. The taskmaster was quick to restrain Yeet and Kaige with his Gravity well attack. Yeet then just as promptly dropped Haste, leaving Kaige hanging, however, he cast Wall of Force to contain the Taskmaster.

With the taskmaster contained, Bastle took the time to pull out the Searasque Sword and shatter it against the railing. In a wave of Magic, the entire crowd turned into tiny mechanical Kittens. Save for the taskmaster. With the party thinking they had time to spare, they listened to the taskmaster pontificate on how he got here. Regaling them with a tale of his jaunt around the astral plane, and a glimmer of hope of returning to Fairhaven. The party going to the Astral Plane allowed the Taskmaster to return.

Unaware of the reinforcements, more warforged turned up. They focused fire on Yeet trying to drop the Wall of Force. They were successful, but Yeet created another wall of Force. This time, surrounding 3 of the party.

Thing seemed to turn for the better- Bastle brandished his Vorpal Sword and sliced off the head of the attacking warforged. Gus brought out his trusty mantle to lay down some bludgeoning damage. The Taskmaster would not relent from spearing Bastle, and he sustained massive damage.

Kaige took care of the Warforged within the wall while Yeet and Gus brought the house down on the Taskmaster with lots of fire.

Just before the fight was over Kraid called the group saying the King was in danger. Bastle and Yeet tried gathering more information, but failed in their hurried attempts. They made their way to the Castle, but found the crown inside pankicked, running back and forth. A column of Soldiers was unhelpful as well, however, they found Kraid who took them to the familiar room they typically met highcall in.

Kraid said that the Throne room is a good distance away. Yeet chose to use his arcan eye to venture to the Throne room, only to find a massacre. Many dead guards were at the feet of Aura Khidol and Karina. Karina Raised her sword to strike the final blow to none other than Highcall who missed the speech to presumably protect the king.
