Criminal Quandaries - S32

Bastle went into the train to recover Coviniss Lightbear, the High Priestess sent to assist Highcall. On their way out Gus cast Gentle repose on Tim, one of Coviness's Honor guard. They mo0unted their horses and made their way back to the Capitol building without any firther trouble.

A morbid curiosity took over the party as they followed Coviness like rabid dogs to watch her work her magic on Highcall's missing limbs. Coviness shared her worries about warforged attacking her along with wizards, but quickly got to work. Arcane words, magical paste, and an hour late, the deed was done and Highcall was made whole. The party rested well, gaining a level up and some temp HP.

Highcall requested their presence. He was standing with the assistance of a cane, but otherwise was there. Tharashk was planning on giving a speech very soon to mourn the loss of the Lord of Blades in the city square. Highcall said he would be in attendance as well. The party made their way to the square, and took their positions waiting for Krennick's speech to start.

Highcall was notably absent, but the party persisted. Bastle went invisible, hiding close to the stage. Yeet whispered magically saying that no plans should be said aloud. Krennick began his Eulogy. No sooner than his Speech was over did he start detailing how they would be bolstering the city guard as the Warforged Forces were promised back to Zilargo to be with House Cannith.

Thunder crashed and the skies opened up to an unexpected torrential rain. Through the rain, the party heard ominous metallic footsteps. And from around the corner emerged the Titanous Taskmaster they banished to the astral plane mere days ago. However the taskmaster has changed, assuming some new astral powers.
