WitW - Session 9

The party stepped foot into the autumn court to find two guards - Dowhar Beetle riders - and their steeds. They travelled to a felled tower turned into an outpost, and on the way Sidon told them his daughter had been kidnapped by a nearby band of snake people. Sidon lead them into the main hall where they met Mizzen, Sidon's wife and mother to Fontaine as well as Deckard.

Deckard was suspicious of the group, but came to like them. However he was wary of trying to save Fontaine as he thought she was likely dead despite Sidon's plea that it was a targeted attack to kidnap his daughter. In the discussion, Sidon mentioned he had gone through Nestleton and they had fallen on hard times.

Deckard was grateful to the party if they could clear out the Yuan-ti, offering them a beetle and cart to cross the Autunm Court.

The party slept and set of the next morning to the camp, finding it with ease. It was a lone mausoleum with a long spiral staircase underground. Once inside they met Selizabeth who could take them to see the Great Skingle to have their fortunes read. Almyre and Ka offered first, but upon passing out, Horace and Jeatz jumped into action. Guards swarmed them but proved to be easily defeated.

Deeper in the hideout, Horace came across a small statue of Bhall, the God of Death. He offered a small pendant that would grant advantage once a day, but the negative effects are yet to be seen. They came across the holding cells they would have been forced into should they have been poisoned by Selizabeth, and were able to solve the puzzle of the doors. It revealed a secret entrance to the Spider Holding pen, unbeknownst to them. They soon suspected, however it was spiders once they saw the webs after coming up from below the floor.
