Criminal Quandaries - S25

The party had just killed the chef of the house and moved on to explore. Yeet went to the main atrium, only to discover Kreethee Gentlewillow, a maid in the house coming down the stairs. Yeet confidently showed himself, saying he was here to detect any traps that might be set for the Lord of Blades. Not really knowing how to assist, she turned around and called for General Gearbox, who was overseeing the security of the house. Yeet missed trying to knock out the maid, but it wouldn't have mattered as Gearbox was immediately onto Yeet.

A huge fight ensued- Gearbox got turned into a dove, and flew away thanks to Yeet's quick thinking, but reinforcements were soon on the scene. A group of Warforged soldiers with magical spiked armor tried grappling Gus, and a powerful wizard flew out of one of the side rooms. He used lost of ice spells, and tried counter spelling, but to no effect as the party had their own counterspells.

The wizard knew he had been beaten, so he ran, but the party followed him outside as letting him live would cause more trouble. They then chased him outside to find Yeet's polymorph had dropped General Gearbox not far from the entrance (and not into a well). With the party lined up, the wizard blasted them several times with a lightening bolt before cutting him and general gearbox down.

Upon moving the bodies, Kaige found a magic crystal on Gearbox's tool belt, that opened up a secret passage in the small basement. There they found a crystal in the ceiling that had an anti-magic burst that was the cause of Yeet's arcane eye dying earlier.
