WitW - Session 22

Elder Fey Magnus granted the party the boon- the ability to cast Guardian of Nature once per day. The party also did some housekeeping, doling out items and learning spells.

Bronto and Tharun came to visit the party as they were discussing the morrow. Bronto said he would like to go investigate the Spring Court, Horace agreed. Bronto would be waiting in Widdershins. Tharun spoke to Jeatz saying his home was the Barren Cloak, and maybe they would see each other again soon. Jeatz seemed to miss the sexual tension from Tharun. As a nightcap - Jeatz beat Horace in a game of cards.

The with a nice long rest, the party got some extra hitpoints and made their way to breakfast. Dreven took them to her office to the teleporter. Bronto went first to the Spring Court - going to the Dohwar outpost, but not before the party laid an absolutely insane story of how the Chancellor sacrificed himself to a water fey. Almyre conjured a picture in her mind of the summer court as Dreven honed in on the location. Almyre described the oasis that is the Summer Court, palm trees, the obelisk, and most importantly, the reverse river flowing into the sky.

They step through the teleporter and end of on the side of a huge dune. They arrived with a loud crack - immediately they were between a rock and a hard place. A massive electric sand eel  moves towards them. At the same time a roving pack of jackalweres descended upon them. However, despite Almyre saying they are exiles of the summer court, they insisted they could take them away from the eel.

Almyre's cousin Jahir suddenly shows up on a royal sled with a team of seals. He slays the Jackelwares with arrows, urging the party onto his sled.

The electric eel, turns back suddenly as it reaches the border of the summer court, lest Lord Anar bring his wrath. The party makes their way through the town as Almyre points out the features of the town. Jeatz suspects that Almyre and her family seriously looks down on those less fortunate. Almyre is better now, but the rest of the royal family definitely does. Jahir takes them to the palace, to Lord Anar Nahid's study.

Once there, Anar is overjoyed to see his daughter, but is immediately put on guard by seeing Amir, who he saw earlier that morning and in different clothes. Everyone was immediately put on guard. Alura explained to her father that the Winter Court was destroyed by an Ancient worm and also betrayed by a near-deity from the material plane.

Anar addresses Amir, and Amir corroborates their story, willingly giving himself into custody. Before he can, however, Jeatz throws water at Amir. Alarmed Lord Anar immediately casts hold person on Jeatz. Then, Almyre - casts dispel magic on Amir. On a Crit with the Arcana check, sand appears to free.
