The Soul of Rung Blood - S4

As we rejoin our party, they have just found a large door with a skeleton lock that seems to have a large magical presence hidden behind. Failing to find and entrance, they move further north to continue exploring the dungeon. They find a room with boxes and crates all over, and Braruk makes the brave choice to test the rotting food. He escapes from being poisoned, but learns and important lesson of testing food before you eat it.

Meanwhile, Luci searches a nearby desk, finding notes mentioning the food is poisoned, along with a spell scroll and another journal! Alda attempts to find something mysterious but fails, and the party heads north yet again.

Sending Torva on a fly-about, Alda unveils the room, finding a chest surrounded by enemies (which the party quickly dispatch). Inside the chest, they find essence and mysterious lantern, which seems to hold a trapped (non-malevolent) entity.

Continuing through the room, the party passes a lever in the corner, choosing to make for the door in the south, killing the enemies guarding another chest. In the chest they find yet another journal, along with some extra essence. They find the door locked, but hear what seemed to be the voice of Baraby, begging for help. As convincing as he sounds, Alda and the party leave the door, since the door is locked anyway.

T suggests that they attempt the lever they passed, but be cautious as they proceed. Alda approaches the lever, but finds himself stuck in a puddle of grey ooze as he pulls it. Luci, still by the door, hears the door click but a fight ensues. Alda quickly makes his escape from the oozes, and Luci enters through the southern door. As he enters through the door, he finds the source of Barabys voice- A large Black Dragon, smiling as he guards a large black obelisk. Luci quickly runs back into the room, and choosing to engage with the oozes instead.

Soon, a Mindflayer makes his way down from the shadows, attacking the entire party with his

Mind blast, blowing Torva away and stunning the entire party other than Alda. Feeling stuck, Alda attempts to run through the room with the dragon as a latch ditch effort to open the door to the south, hoping it leads to the shop.

As the party entangles with the mindflayer in the first room, Alda is attacked by the dragon, downing him with its breath attack. As the party attempts to make it to the locked door, they fall into darkness as Braruk is killed outright by the black dragon….

Waking up at the fire in the shop, the party levels up! Patchy greets the party, seemly knowing the monsters that the party fell to. After a few rounds of bartering and purchasing, including an arm wrestle soundly won by Luci, the party agrees to purchase the mysterious skeleton key at a fraction of the cost. They head off to gain essence, and return, buying the key.

As they walk away, Patchy notices the Lantern is Alda’s possession, and after some convincing, barters his way into purchasing the lantern from the party. Exhausted, Patchy attempts to pass off the last few of his wares to no avail, and sits back to rest after losing most of his essence buying the lantern.

The party then levels up yet again, making a BIG jump, and decide to head to the skeleton room to try to open the room using the new key they purchased. As they leave the room, however, the door locks behind them. From the behind the door, the party sees a bright light and hear a genie offer Patchy 3 wishes. Locked out, the party head the skeleton room and insert the key….. and suddenly 15 skeletons appear around them, poised to attack.
